I Say

I feel like in our community, once we find someone who "tolerates" our trans* identities, we feel like we can never do better. Than we might as well take that offer. Hell no.

I used to feel that way. That no one else would understand so I might as well just stay. Screw that. You can't depend on other people to make you happy. And you should never settle. Because someone will come along that you DO deserve.

We are conditioned to believe that being trans* means we'll be unloved, alone, and pathetic.

Every day that I feel love and happiness--whether by my own means or not--is a direct challenge to that narrative.
